Example 1: Light Crude Oil

Given: 100 liters of crude oil with density 761 kg/m³ at 50°C Find: Volume at 15°C (reference temperature) Result: 100 liters × 0.965 = 97 liters

Example 2: Heavy Crude Oil

Given: 1000 m³ of crude oil with density 970 kg/m³ at 15°C Find: Volume at 250°C Result: 1000 m³ × 1.188 = 1188 m³
