Discrete Data Sets and their Mean, Median and Mode Values
Calculate the mean, median, and mode values of a discrete data set. Enter comma-separated values to analyze statistical measures including arithmetic mean, median (middle value), and mode (most frequent value).
Instructions
Enter your data set as comma-separated values (CSV) in the input field below.
Example
For the data set (3, 5, 2, 5, 12), enter: 3,5,2,5,12
Definitions
Mean Value: Arithmetic average calculated by summing all values and dividing by the count.
Median Value: The middle value when data is sorted in ascending order. For even-sized sets, it's the average of the two middle values.
Mode Value: The most frequently occurring value in the data set.
