R (Total Resistance)-- ohms
I (Total Current)-- amps
I1 (Current through R1)-- amps
I2 (Current through R2)-- amps
I3 (Current through R3)-- amps
I4 (Current through R4)-- amps
I5 (Current through R5)-- amps

Series Connection Formula

R = R1 + R2 + ... + Rn

where R = total resistance (ohm, Ω)

Parallel Connection Formula

1 / R = 1 / R1 + 1 / R2 + ... + 1 / Rn

For two resistors in parallel: R = R1 × R2 / (R1 + R2)

Current Calculation (Ohm's Law)

I = U / R

where I = current (amps), U = voltage (V), R = resistance (ohm, Ω)
