- Addition: (a / b) + (c / d) = (ad + bc) / (bd)
- Multiplication: (a / b) × (c / d) = (ac) / (bd)
- Division: (a / b) ÷ (c / d) = (a / b) × (d / c)
- Negation: (-a / b) = -(a / b) = a / (-b)
