Key Concepts

Absolute Frequency (h): The count of how many times each value appears in the data set.

Data Set Size Formula:

n = h₁ + h₂ + ... + hₖ = Σ hᵢ

Where: n = number of samples, h = absolute frequency

Relative Frequency (f):

fᵢ = hᵢ / n

Where: fᵢ = relative frequency of sample

Sum of Relative Frequencies:

Σ fᵢ = 1
