  • Temperature Conversion: TF = TC × 9/5 + 32
  • Viscosity Conversion: SSU (Saybolt Universal Seconds) ≈ centiStokes (cSt) × 4.55
    • Note: This equation is approximate and valid only for a specific range of viscosities. For more accurate conversions, refer to ASTM D2161.
  • Pumping Limit: 4 - 5000 SSU is the maximum practical limit for pumping
  • Atomization Range: 150 - 300 SSU for fuel oil no. 5 and 6
