Steam Flash Generation (bar)

The amount of flash steam generated depends on steam pressure and the pressure in the condensate lines.

How it works

Flash steam is generated when high-pressure condensate is suddenly exposed to lower pressure. The amount generated (as a percentage of condensate) depends on:

Steam Gauge Pressure before the condensate trap (bar)
Condensate Gauge Pressure after the condensate trap (bar)

Important Note

Without a flash recovery system, the energy in the flash steam will be lost to the surroundings.
