Walls - No. of Studs
Calculate required number of studs in a wall based on wall length and center distance between studs.
Formula
n = L / l + 1
Where:
- n = number of studs
- L = length of wall (ft, m)
- l = center distance between the studs (ft, m)
Note
Additional studs are required in corners and around doors and windows. This calculation provides the base number of studs for the wall run.
